Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, on Newsmax Thursday defended the Department of Government Efficiency, saying President Donald Trump “empowered” his top adviser, Elon Musk, to find “waste, fraud, and abuse” in the government.
In an interview with “Newsline,” Sessions claimed the administration is “using typical, traditional government ways of looking at things” while combing through finances.
“I think the president of the United States, Donald Trump, empowered, as we heard some time ago, Elon Musk. They’re now musketeers all across America that are looking for not only answers … but looking for things that come first from the administration,” he said.
