POSITION DESCRIPTION: The following qualifications will be needed to monitor and assist as needed:Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber customer service to all patrons/employees of Presque Isle Downs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform all necessary repairs to slot machines, self-serve sports wagering kiosks, signs, and slot monitoring equipment and also rebuild and repair slot parts, self-serve sports wagering kiosks, tools and related equipment as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any slot machine, self-serve sports wagering kiosk, and related equipment including all circuit boards without assistance. 
  • Responsible for the initial set-up and check-out of new slot machines and self-serve sports wagering kiosks to ensure all are in proper working condition.
  • Performs floor repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines and self-serve sports wagering kiosks, including cleaning machines and overhauls. 
  • Observe all Presque Isle Downs’ policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain the integrity of the slot machine and self-serve sports wagering kiosk equipment and secure all company assets and property at all times. 
  • Responsible for the security of keys, radios, tools, and gaming related licenses and player tracking cards from check-in to check-out. 
  • Responsible for completing all regulatory and company operational logs/forms correctly; i.e., meal books and repair logs, etc. 
  • Complete slot machine repair slips and related repair logs; i.e., CPU, I/O and parts sign out sheets. 
  • Tag repairable parts noting appropriate information. 
  • Circulate through the assigned area replacing broken or burned out bulbs, rubbing reels, positioning vacant nonfixed slot seating as close to the slot machine as possible, etc. 
  • Assist other floor personnel when advanced troubleshooting skills are required. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one-year slot repair experience in a casino environment and or 1,000 hours formal training in electronics or equivalent related work experience.  Maintenance and electronic background helpful. Must possess a general knowledge of electronics, and basic computer systems.  Excellent troubleshooting skills for all related slot equipment changes.  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work.  Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.  Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints; ability to travel to various locations of the business.  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills. 

Ability to conduct analyses and generate reports to reflect findings.  Ability to express ideas or make recommendation concerning job related issues; learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments: maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques. Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents; review instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients or staff.  Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, approximately 60 pounds; Ability to stand for extended period of time, 4 hours; Ability to sit for extended periods of time, 2 hours; ability to reach for specific objects at short distances in local working area.  Ability to use tools and equipment, including a drill press and soldering gun; ability to kneel, bend and stoop.  Ability to perceive sizes, shapes, temperatures, textures, etc.  Ability to smell odors or aromas; perceive depth and distances, emergency distress signals; inspect or secure proper use of equipment.  Ability to withstand high frequency noises or sounds of varying tones and varying degrees of lighting.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Candidate must have working kitchen knowledge.  Candidate must have a command of culinary terms and have strong mechanical skills.  The use of all kitchen tools to include, but not limited to peelers, assorted knives, ovens, grills, fryolators, mixers, food processors, steam controlled equipment, and slickers’.   Candidate must have a strong knowledge of sanitations skills and be able to sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, and utensils according to proper industry standards, within specified time lines.  Candidate must be able to properly identify various foods and understand proper handling, preparation, and storage of these items to guarantee safe unadulterated products to our guests.  Candidate will do skilled kitchen duties including pantry and salad preparation, proper preparation of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, soups, stocks, and sauces. Candidate must be able to prepare items as needed to include, but not limited to broiling sautéing, deep-frying, pan-frying, boiling, steaming, baking, and grilling.  Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and to alert their manager or Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately. Candidate will be expected to perform their duties in various climates and conditions due to equipment that uses water, steam, chemicals, and heat for safe maintaining of food contact surfaces.  Candidate must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and complete tasks wish a “sense of urgency.” Candidate must be able to instruct proper methods and procedures while communicating to subordinate employees in a professional manner according to company standards.
